howdy! welcome to my portfolio
My real name is Angelica, but you can call me Jelly
I'm a self-taught creative, photographer, and marketer.
My career has never followed a perfectly straight line—and that's become one of my greatest strengths. With a background with deep roots in creating, and years of experience leading marketing initiatives, I bring a perspective that blends strategy with creativity and a genuine understanding of the people I'm trying to reach.
I'm here to take you on a wild ride - the creative side of design, whooshing through the world of graphics, to the fantasy of words, and back to the cinematic moments captured by camera.
I am a marketer who happens to be highly creative.
I'm a dynamic individual with a passion for creating. I have a diverse skillset that encompasses design, photography, graphics, website development, and more - but what makes my journey unique is that I am entirely self-taught in these areas, having chosen a different path than traditional schooling.
Throughout my education journey, I excelled in advance classes and pursued my passion for Communication Design, but I proudly identify as an art school dropout. I realized that the constraints of a formal educational institution was stifling my creativity and not conducive to my growth. Instead, I embarked on a path of self-discovery, curiosity, and continuous learning.
By taking the initiative to master a wide range of marketing disciplines independently, I have honed in my skills and cultivated a unique perspective. While my unconventional background sets me apart, it has also shaped me into a versatile and adaptable professional.
I have done a little bit of everything, but my passion is to create and inspire.

NORTH TEXAS FARM & RANCH MAGAZINE PARTING SHOT
I have been writing the Parting Shot for the North Texas Farm & Ranch Magazine for a few years now. Below represent some of the examples that are currently available in past publications.

AT THE START OF A RAINBOW

An unassuming bird flutters past my peripheral; but in my heart I sense the one I’ve been after. A brown bird from far away, a magical representation of Gods work posed clearly on the wings of this small colorful creature up close. Striking plumage with extreme agility, barely bending the branch it sits upon.
JACK OF ALL TRADES
Seemingly unaware, I searched for turkeys with my faithful sidekick, Sunny. But wait—alas! We spotted a giant jack with gleaming golden eyes.
Sunny had never seen such a giant rabbit before, only the hundreds of small bunnies that gathered beneath the overhead feeder alongside the grazing chickens.
My eyes focused as I calculated how to bring my giant camera lens into view before this quick-witted animal disappeared.
“What is that?” I imagined Sunny was pondering, just wanting the chance to chase something with my approval.
I took a moment to watch the movement of its fur, the veins in its giant ears, and the bees and butterflies drunkenly floating through the wildflowers around this creature.
Storm clouds rolled across the reflection in the hare’s eye as it stared back at me, questioning whether to run away. Instead, it waited and calmly shared a space with me.

BLOOD MOON ORANGE

After a long ride in the heat, I look up and realize the blood moon is making its debut. The night time is moving as normal, like the house geckos sitting thoughtfully waiting for bugs to stroll by. As I set up my camera in hopes of taking a closer view of the lunar eclipse, it feels every day. Easy, relaxed. Nothing out of the ordinary aside from a beautiful orange glow.
This phenomenon feels so different than when there’s a solar eclipse, a moment where I observed hundreds of turtles at a pond basking in the dark hazy glow, a fresh baby that was just calved, and the calming sound of nothing but winding down. For me, it was a bit of an unsettling feeling regardless of knowing what’s taking place in the sky above. Still beautiful. Still transcending. Otherworldly.
Nature is turbulent, calm, fearful and fascinating all the same.
